(25) Strength and honour are her clothing, And she shall rejoice in time to come. (26) She openeth her mouth with wisdom; And in her tongue is the law of kindness. (27) She looketh well to the ways of her household, And eateth not the bread of idleness.

Proverbs 31:25-27

Women's Department President

Minister Teruko “Deedee” Williams

Minister Teruko “Deedee” Williams was born and raised in the great city of Tyler, Texas. She is the youngest and only girl of James and Evelyn Nelson, who decided to give their only baby girl a name that would suit her future. The name Teruko means “shining child or girl of the sun” in Japanese.

Her love of music started when she was gifted an old, cherrywood upright piano by a family member, and she began playing the various tunes that would come to mind. Teruko later became fond of singing and continues to use this gift currently as a praise and worship leader and local women’s director at Morning Star CHSC, under the leadership of Pastor James E Williams, Jr.

As one who lives for advancing education, Teruko currently holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing Science, a Master’s in Healthcare Administration (2017), and completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (2022). Dr Williams has been in healthcare since the age of 17 and has been a true advocate for clients and patients in various areas of healthcare.

Dr Williams has been serving as the Pacific 7 Jurisdiction Women’s president for three years. She remains prayerful with this position and always has the best interests of the women in mind.

Teruko married Elder Adrian Williams in 2016, and both currently reside in West Sacramento, California. She enjoys cooking and creating meals, writing poetry and music, making fun videos, fostering safe spaces for Christian women, and most of all, supporting and serving the people of God.

The session will include interactive activities to help participants practice these skills and apply them to real-life situations.

Offering/Break

12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

Guided Small-group conversation “Sober in every season”

This seminar, “Sober in Every Season,” will focus on the unique transitions women experience in life—such as changes in relationships, career, family, or personal growth—and the importance of staying spiritually, emotionally, and mentally sober during these times. Through a guided small-group conversation, participants will explore strategies for maintaining clarity, making wise decisions, and relying on faith to navigate challenges. The session will provide a safe, supportive space to share experiences, reflect on Scripture, and practice practical tools for staying grounded and sober-minded through life’s seasons.
