(11) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; (12) for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

EPHESIANS 4:11-12

Presiding Prelate and Chief Apostle - CHSC

Bishop Craig E. Brown

Presiding Prelate and Chief Apostle - Christ Holy Sanctified Church  Sr. Pastor – Praise Tabernacle Worship Center

The Most Reverend Craig E. Brown was born the eldest of three children  to the late Bishop Eugene and Elect Lady Alpha Brown.  He is a fourth-  generation of the Christ Holy Sanctified Church (CHSC) as his fraternal grandparents, Deacon Raymond and Mother Snow Bird Kerr-Brown and great-grandparents, Jackson and Sallie Major-Kerr were pioneers and  workers in the organization - saved under Mother A. Money in the  1930’s in Texas and Oklahoma.  His maternal grandparents were Bishop  Robert Lincoln Searcie and Rose Britton-Searcie, founders of the House of Prayer for all Nations.   His grandmother’s parents, the Brittons, were powerful evangelists on the West Coast.

An accomplished musician (plays three different instruments) and composer-song writer,  Bishop Brown arranged and transcribed music scores and books for Word (Light) and Birthright  records and served as the National Director of Music for CHSC 1977 – 1997.  He is also the  Senior Pastor of Praise Tabernacle Worship Center in Culver City, CA.

Elected as the 8th presiding bishop of CHSC in 2010, Bishop Brown continues a legacy (since 1910) of great vision and leadership for the 21st Century. He believes that the organization is  ripe for unprecedented growth, exceeding and abundant blessings, the foundation for holy and  righteous living, and the spreading of the Gospel world-wide for the up-building of the Kingdom  of God.

Bishop Brown is married to Debbie Ann Brooks Brown (1978) and they are richly blessed with  three children; Gabriel and his wife, Sharonda, Yulanda and her husband, Fabian Parson, and  Miranda, in addition to a host of “many” future grandchildren.
